Current script so far

The scene opens with a shot of a train passing by. The scene then transitions into JAMES' house. JAMES is watching tv whilst using his phone. After a few seconds, the tv switches off. JAMES looks at the tv, puzzled. JAMES then jumps in his seat as he hears a knock at the front door. 

JAMES: (Scared) Who is it?

There is silence. After a few seconds, JAMES gets up and attempts to look out the window. As he does this, there is an even bigger knock at the door. JAMES jumps back and rushes to the kitchen and grabs out a butter knife. JAMES then slowly walks towards the door and opens it. The door opens to ALEX and ROB.

ALEX: What's up?

ALEX forces himself into the house by grabbing JAMES and pushing him back against the wall. ROB walks into the house and closes the door behind him, slamming it. JAMES moves backwards across the floor away from ALEX and ROB. 

JAMES: (Shaken) L-look man, take what you want okay? 

ALEX: I intend to.

JAMES: Yeah… I-i got TVs, video games, action figures… Take whatever okay?!!

ALEX: Information...

JAMES: What!??

ALEX: I need you to answer a couple of questions for me.

JAMES: Uh… 

ROB: What kind of action figures you got man?

JAMES: (To ROB) Uh, lots of superhero stuff. Its all in my room

ALEX looks to ROB. 

ALEX: (To ROB) …Do you mind?

ROB: (To ALEX) What? He might have some good stuff

ALEX: (Sighs) Pass me the negotiator…

ALEX grabs the baton from ROB.

ROB: (To JAMES) Where’s your room, man?

JAMES: It’s the one next to the toilet.

ROB rushes to JAMES’ room. ALEX looks at the butter knife JAMES is holding.

ALEX: You gonna defend yourself with that?

JAMES: If i have to..

ALEX: Listen. You know a guy named Eric. I’m looking for him.

JAMES: Why? What’s so important about him?

ALEX: He’s a dead man

As ALEX approaches JAMES, JAMES points the knife at ALEX. ALEX slaps the knife out of JAMES' Hand. 

ALEX: A butter knife?!! Are you serious?!!

ALEX looks to ROB

ALEX: (To ROB) Pass me the negotiator...

ROB opens his jacket and throws the baton to ALEX.

ALEX: Now, see James. This is a real weapon.

JAMES: How do you know my name?!!

ALEX: Oh i know a lot more than just your name Jimmy boy. I've got your social media accounts, bank accounts, personal police record. Rather clean...

JAMES: Yeah, well. I tend to stay out of trouble...

ALEX: Really? Tell me. How's Aisha?

JAMES: What?

ALEX: Yeah, you know, Aisha. That little friend of yours? What is she like twelve? Thirteen? 

ALEX holds up his phone and shows JAMES the picture of AISHA

JAMES: W-who the hell are you guys?!

ROB: (To JAMES) We’re your friends

LOST_DOGS Progress and style

Writing has begun on LOST_DOGS, the aimed length for the first episode is approximately 10 minutes however, the episode may make it to 15 minutes. At this time i currently have a few people available for the project, with certain other people in mind. The camera equipment should be obtained soon as well.

Networking and work experience

Just recently contacted "cutaboveproductions" about any potential work experience in the future with filming and editing. I gave them my Email address and will be looking forward to hearing from them. Also i am planning to find and join a facebook group based around the indie film industry.
